Disco Queen

Spring/Summer Catwalk Trends: Some makeup artists were guided by the motto “Courage to color” at this year’s fashion shows for spring-summer 2020. They resorted to bright neon colors and conjured up an exciting look for the models. At Versace, for example, an eyeshadow in bright orange was spotted, while at Helmut Lang’s show the eyeliner was chosen in a daring shade of green. Oscar de la Renta was particularly colorful. Here the eyes of the models were strongly outlined with yellow and orange. Color pop but with nude lips. This look is less suitable for everyday use, but more so to make an impression on the dancefloor.

Queen of the Night

Spring/Summer Catwalk Trends: Smoky eyes are less sharp, but certainly no less striking. In the coming spring-summer season, these will be made up of metallic eyeshadows. A gray color was chosen for Brandon Maxwell and bronze for Tom Ford. The makeup artists from Halpern picked black eyeshadow. This is either applied close to the lash line and blended upwards and towards the temples, or you draw a precise line with a black eyeliner from the inner corner to just below the outer end of the eyebrow and then paint the resulting area between this line and the upper lash line with a jet black eyeshadow. The lips remain subtle even with this look.

Nails and Hair at Fashion Week

Spring/Summer Catwalk Trends: Bright colors for the hair On the show of Dries Van Noten, individual strands of pink or blue flashed out from under the bangs with more natural hair color. The look of the Loewe models was less funky but very strict. They wore a ponytail tied at the back of the neck with a sleek, low-set side parting. In contrast to the colorful bangs, this hairstyle is suitable for everyday use as well as for going out. To ensure that every hair stays where it should, it is recommended to fix the hair with gel and spray.

Braids of various types were also quite hip. At Dior, for example, the models wore braids on the catwalk, braided along the side of the face and gave them a girlish youthful look.
